We can arrange an intimate Chuppa for the couple and we will take care of the Minyan and the Rabbi. We can also arrange for the ceremony to be transmitted on a live webcast to the family.

A little more about the meaning of a Wedding in Israel:

The Jewish Wedding consists of various laws, regulations, and customs regarding the precise ceremony: this is a very special moment for you and we are here to make sure that all will go smoothly and in the way that you wanted.

Orthodox Customs:

talit chuppahThe Chuppa: This is a canopy that is made of cloth or a sheet. A Talit- “prayer shawl” can be used as well. The Chuppa is stretched or supported over four poles and sometimes carried by the family or guests. The Chuppa will be set up under an open sky. You can discuss with our designer the Chuppa you would like to have or you can choose a design from our photos gallery.

The veil: This should cover the bride’s face. This ceremony called “bedeken”. The groom lowers the veil before the ceremony and lifts the veil before the first kiss.

The Ketubah: This special document lays out the rights of the wife and the obligations of the husband. The groom will sign the Ketubah in front of the Rabbi and two witnesses will sign the Ketubah as well.

Breaking the glass: The source of this custom may be found in the Babylonian Talmud. This custom is a reminder of the broken fragments of Creation, and the need for people to join together in order to build a better world on a spiritual level.

Conservative and Reform Customs:

The movements of Conservative and Reform Judaism have built new customs for the wedding ceremony commensurate with modern living. Most non-orthodox Jewish women give a ring to their groom and say some meaningful words to him. We tailor for any custom that meets your taste.
